At Spirit Hospice of Georgia, our services are built around one belief: every patient deserves comfort, dignity, and connection at the end of life. Our interdisciplinary team provides a full spectrum of care — delivered wherever you call home — across 23 counties in North and Metro Georgia.
What We Offer
Our Services
Nursing Staff
Our team of licensed practical nurses and registered nurses will walk you through every step of this journey. They are on call and available to help with any type of crisis, day or night.
Physician Coordination
Changing to hospice can feel overwhelming. We coordinate with your existing doctor to make the transition easier, ensuring seamless continuity of the care you know and trust.
Social Services
Our social workers provide individual, family, and couples counseling, lead support groups, and offer in-service training on compassion fatigue, end-of-life planning, and coping with grief.
Spiritual Services
Spiritual care is a cornerstone of hospice. Our non-denominational chaplains provide compassionate support for patients and families of all faiths through the end-of-life journey and the grieving process.
Certified Nurse Assistants
Our CNAs perform important patient-centered tasks under licensed nursing supervision — including help with ambulation, grooming, bathing, and the routine daily activities that support comfort and dignity.
Distinctive Care Plan
We elevate the end-of-life experience in uniquely personal ways. Every patient receives a highly individualized, hands-on plan of care — tailored to their values, wishes, and specific medical needs.
Medications
Our team streamlines the medication process from day one. We coordinate safe transitions, manage pain and symptom medications, and ensure every prescription is aligned with your comfort-focused plan of care.
Durable Medical Equipment
We provide our own durable medical equipment and can deliver it at a moment's notice — especially in emergency situations such as urgent hospital discharges where time is critical.
Medical Supplies
All medically necessary supplies are provided through our hospice — including personal care products such as soap, shampoo, body lotion, barrier creams, briefs, pads, and incontinence care supplies.
Respite Services
Caring for a loved one is exhausting. Respite care gives family caregivers a much-needed break. Medicare covers patient transport and up to five consecutive days of inpatient care at a Medicare-approved facility.
Continuous Care
When a patient experiences a crisis, our team provides round-the-clock care in the home to manage acute symptoms and restore comfort — honoring the patient's wish to remain where they feel most at peace.
Veteran Recognition
We are honored to care for those who served our country. Veterans may carry life experiences that call for a uniquely sensitive approach to hospice — and our team is trained to provide just that.
Memory Care
Our certified facilitators provide specialized support for patients living with dementia and Alzheimer's disease — helping families understand daily life for their loved one and navigate this unique journey with compassion.
Bereavement Support
Our commitment to your family doesn't end at the time of passing. Spirit Hospice provides grief counseling and bereavement support for up to 13 months after the loss of your loved one.
Volunteering
Volunteers are the heartbeat of our community. We offer opportunities for companionship, patient visitation, caregiver relief, and more — no clinical experience required. Come serve with us.
